Albany snow emergency begins Tuesday, Feb 10 at 8 p.m.n
City of Albany officials have declared a Snow Emergency that will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, at which time all normal parking rules and regulations will be temporarily suspended. Snow emergencies are declared so that snow can be loaded onto snow removal trucks and removed from City streets. Because parking can be difficult to find during and after snowstorms, extra parking locations around the City will be open on Monday and Tuesday evenings, February 9 and 10 (see locations and times below).
During the first 24 hours of the snow emergency (from 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, until 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 11) all vehicles must be parked on the even numbered side of the street. During the next 24 hours (from 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 12) all vehicles must be parked on the odd numbered side of the street. CITY OF ALBANY SNOW EMERGENCY starts 2/14 at 8 pm
Please be advised that the City of Albany has issued a SNOW EMERGENCY that will begin at 8 pm on Friday, February 14, at which time all normal parking rules and regulations are temporarily suspended.
During the first 24 hours of the snow emergency all vehicles must be parked on the even numbered side of the street.
Then at 8 pm on Saturday, February 15, all vehicles must be parked on the odd numbered side of the street for the next 24-hour period.
If you are parked on the wrong side of the street during the snow emergency your car will be ticketed and may result in it being towed.

SNOW EMERGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Please be advised that the City of Albany has issued a SNOW EMERGENCY that will begin at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at which time all normal parking rules and regulations are temporarily suspended.
During the first 24 hours of the snow emergency all vehicles must be parked on the even numbered side of the street.
Beginning at 8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 29th all vehicles must be parked on the odd numbered side of the street.
If you are parked on the wrong side of the street during the snow emergency your car will be ticketed and may result in it being towed.
At 8:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2009 the snow emergency will be officially declared over and normal parking rules and regulations will go back into effect.
In addition recycling collection will be suspended during the snow emergency. Trash should be placed out as usual. For more information call the Department of General Services at 434-2489 or Click here for more information.

Snow emergency in Albany
Usual alternate side regs suspended.
Effective at 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17 cars should be parked on the even side of the street for 24 hours. At 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 cars must park on the odd side of the street for 24 hours.
