Or is it eats shoots and leaves? Lynne Truss' "Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation" was a big hit both in Britain and then in the U.S. I bouight it for my wife, who is a teacher. From the very last paragraph in the book: "So we ignore the rules of punctuation at our political peril as well as to our moral detriment."
