Pine Hills branch news
From Elissa Kane:
Hurry up and wait! The furniture is in, the books are on the shelves and the wiring has been installed for the public computers, but without doors, the Pine Hills Transitional Library at the Elks Lodge on South Allen Street hasn't opened for business.
But the good news is the doors have finally arrived in the State of New York! The unforeseen delay in the delivery of the doors from the manufacturer was a result of the dramatic increase in gas price - the shipper would not transport anything but a full truck, hence the delay in receiving them.
We certainly imagine your frustration about not having the Pine Hills library up a running after announcing last month the new location. We too were hoping to have a seamless transition.
We're terribly sorry for the delay and invite you check out the Bookmobile when it's at a location near you, our other locations in North Albany, Delaware, Howe at South Pearl Street and of course the Main Library.
